Color postcard of the Ohio Statehouse showing the William McKinley monument in the foreground. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Peter Bricker, / Mt. Vernon, / R2 Ohio." It is hand dated March 8, 1914; is postmarked "COLUMBUS / MAR 10 / 2 PM / 1914" and has a green one-cent stamp. The text reads: "I was feelin' blue / cause I don't hear from you. / I have a cold and suspect / that you are enjoying the / same blessing. We got the / meat and think it is fine. / I don't expect I will be / home until April. I have / to read a book in history and / will have to [do] it on Saturdays. / My vaccination is well. I guess our class officials are all thrown / out of office because they failed / or were conditioned in something. / L.S. Bricker" |
