Notes |
This button was used when Scott Oelslager ran for his first full term in the Ohio Senate 29th District. He had previously been appointed in 1985 by committee; members of the committee were Dick Finan, Stanley Aranoff, Paul Gillmor, Gary Suhaldonik and Paul Pfiefer. This is a rare example of a legislative aide succeeding his boss in a legislative seat. Oelslager was an aide to Canton-area senator Tom Walsh and when Walsh moved on, Oelslager ran for and won his seat. After term limits he moved to the Ohio House, and as of 2015 he was back in the Ohio Senate. |
