Description |
Postcard shows the first floor stairhall and landing of the then-Judiciary Annex (now the Ohio Senate Building). The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Peter Bricker / Mt. Vernon / R2 Ohio." It is postmarked "COLUMBUS STA. / SEP 23 / 11 AM / 1914" and has a green one-cent postage stamp. The text reads: "Got out to Hartman / farm Sunday afternoon with a / bunch of boys. It is nothing but / a big dairy farm. There are about / twenty horses, a school house, hotel / and general store. I did not get back until 7 o'clock and had to go to / restaurant for supper. My roommate / got here Sunday evening about 8 o'clock. / My work seems to be easy. There are about 60 students boarding at the / same place with me. I will be at / Mt. Liberty Fri. at 6:45 sun time. / Please be there at that time for it / will be late enough when we / get home. / Leland S. Bricker" |
