The Fran DeWine cookbook booklets are one aspect of Mike DeWine's campaign that centers around the DeWine family ideals. There have been twelve prior editions of the DeWine recipe booklets that were written and distributed for promotional campaign purposes. The cookbook itself is significant in that it was the first to be released since DeWine entered into office as governor. The cookbook is therefore denoted as being the Gubernatorial Edition, in collaboration with Tina Husted, the wife of Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted. This cookbook was included in the giveaways at the inauguration. In writing this pamphlet, Fran DeWine denotes her passion for cooking, which has played a significant part in DeWine's political career. Fran grew up Yellow Springs, Ohio, where she met her husband in grade school. As First Lady of Ohio, Fran spearheaded the expansion of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Ohio statewide. Due to her actions Ohioans can sign up and children under the age of five are eligible to receive a free book in the mail once a month. |
