Description |
This holiday card was sent from the White House to Ohio Senator Alan Zaleski. The envelope has the U.S. Postage meter stamp dating December 1, 1994. The front of the card shows the Red Room in the White House. The painting is by Thomas McKnight and is entitled: "White House Christmas" it is copyrighted 1994. The inside of the card features an embossed Great Seal of the United States, with the text: "Our family wishes you and yours / a joyful holiday season / and a new year blessed with health, / happiness, and peace." It is signed with an auto-pen by Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton. The American Greetings logo is on the back of the card above the text: "White House Christmas" / Painting by Thomas McKnight / ©1994 Thomas McKnight" The bottom left corner features a recycle symbol above the text: "Recycled Paper". On the bottom center the text reads: "Paid for by the Democratic National Committee". The bottom right corner features the International Brotherhood of Teamsters logo. |
